48F Bras

A 48F bra fits a 48 inch underband with a seven inch difference between your underbust and the fullest part of your bust. Very few brands cut a 48 band at all, so the range at this size is small and it is worth knowing your sister sizes before you shop.

Our 48F bras come from Elomi, whose Cate full cup is built for wide bands with a deep underband and wide side wings. If the band rides up, your sister size is 46FF, which opens up a wider choice. If the cups gape, 48E is the next step down in the same band.

Finding a 48F When Stock Is Thin

A 48 back sits at the top of most brands' size runs, and only Elomi goes there as standard. The Elomi Cate is a non wired full cup that uses the band and side panels to do the work a wire would otherwise do, which is why it holds a 48F without digging in.

If you need more choice, the sister size route is the practical one. A 46FF gives the same cup volume on a band two inches smaller, worn on the loosest hook, and opens up the Goddess and Sculptresse ranges as well as more of Elomi. Our F cup and FF cup pages show everything across the bands.

Checking Your 48F Fit
